Washington police have filed charges in a traffic accident that caused the death of an elderly man who was in a wheelchair.

According to media reports, police say the accused driver is facing: felony hit-and-run charges; death by motor vehicle; and driving while license was revoked.

The accident occurred when the elderly man was in his motorized wheelchair and trying to cross Bridge Street at West 7th Street.
